Legion’s management team has a depth of experience and expertise drawn from the fields of business, science, transport planning and software development.
Douglas Connor, Chairman, Legion International Limited
Douglas has been an entrepreneur in science, technology and finance for most of his career. In the 1970s he created two high-technology businesses in the UK in the fields of defence, avionics, telecommunications and computing. In 1997, Douglas formed Legion International Limited to develop the science on which Legion is now built. He has been the Chairman of Legion International Limited ever since.
Nick Connor, President, Legion North America
Nick is a founding director of Legion Limited and has played a key role in all aspects of the company's development. In early 2006 he relocated to New York City to establish our presence in the North American market. Nick's background is in finance and he is a graduate of Durham University and Nottingham Law School.
Ian Emslie, Head of Consulting
Ian came to Legion in August 2003, bringing a wealth of experience in transport planning and pedestrian modelling gained from his previous positions with the Division for Roads and Transport Technology in South Africa, and Scott Wilson Kirkpatrick in the UK. Ian has a BSc Eng from the University of Natal and he studied Traffic and Transportation Engineering at postgraduate level at Stellenbosch University.
James Amos, Head of Product Development
James has been with Legion since October 2002. He has 9 years' experience of specifying, designing and developing complex commercial software. Before Legion, James worked in finance and then defence, where he developed military simulation software for DERA (Defence Evaluation and Research Agency). He has extensive experience of stringent development standards and brings to Legion a comprehensive knowledge of product development procedures. James has a BSc in Computer Science from the University of East Anglia.
