East London Line
In response to the planned expansion of the East London Line and the increased demand associated with it, Legion undertook three studies for the East London Line Project and Interfleet. The studies were designed to help:
In the second stage of the project, we simulated boarding and alighting scenarios for the preferred rolling stock but this time using different physical configurations for the carriages and comparing different levels of demand at 11 key stations on the East London Line.
The final stage of the project involved studying northbound and southbound dwell times for each station on the East London Line, using the preferred rolling stock and different possible demand scenarios. Findings from these studies are being used by the East London Line Project to design the optimal timetable.
- Select the best rolling stock
- Configure the rolling stock
- Plan future timetables
