Bigger and better Legion 3D models
|
Legion has released two Enhancement Packs: 'EP2' for Legion 3D and 'EP4' for Legion Studio. Enhancement Packs typically contain a mixture of new features, improvements to existing features, and 'bug-fixes'.
Legion 3D EP2 improves memory management and performance, so that larger, more complex and more highly detailed models can be visualised. Also, to speed up video recording, there is a new feature that enables you to hide the visualisation while recording 'in the background'.
We have introduced new 'shortcut keys' to make panning and zooming around the viewing area quicker, and improvements to the way Legion 3D calculates floors and ceilings reduce the chance of visual errors.
Legion Studio EP4 includes new speed profiles for Chinese Commuters and Chinese Weekend Railway Users. These speed profiles were developed and approved as part of a recent measurements programme conducted in Beijing by Legion experts. Both Legion 3D and Legion Studio now enable you to save the positions of pedestrians throughout an entire playback, or for specified sections of a playback. The data is saved to an XML file, which can already be read by Aimsun 6 and may also be read by other third-party programmes, such as 3D animation applications, that can handle XML files. This means that more people can now populate their models and scenes using Legion pedestrians.
