Legion releases its new standalone 'Viewer', along with two new Enhancement Packs: 'EP3' and 'EP5' for Legion 3D and Studio respectively. Enhancement Packs typically contain a mixture of new features, improvements to existing features, and 'bug-fixes'.

Enhancements to Legion Studio include the introduction of imperial units for the 'Measure' tool and the recateogrisation of Entity and Speed Profiles to make it easier to select the most appropriate profiles for a model. But the most important aspect of EP5 is the release of the new Legion Viewer.

Legion Viewer is a standalone programme that enables you to play back Legion simulations and display pre-selected analytical outputs. Unlike playing back a video recorded in the Analyser, when you play back a Viewer file you can zoom, pan and explore the model freely, rather than rely on a fixed aspect or sequence of camera positions.

Legion Viewer makes it quick and easy for all interested parties to explore a simulation and gain a deeper understanding of project outputs and results. Click Legion Viewer for more information.

Legion 3D can now reproduce cameras and camera movements created in third-party modelling programmes, meaning that visualisations are now more flexible and precise. Also, when visualising traffic by importing results from TSS's Aimsun programme, a wider range of vehicle colours are now permissible, defined within the Aimsun xml file.

In a further enhancement, Legion 3D's orientation tools (Zoom Extents, Orbit, Rotate, Twist and Dolly) now work around selected objects as well as for the whole scene when no objects are selected.
