Legion Working on Tokyo 2016 Olympic Bid

The Metropolitan Government team behind Tokyo’s bid to host the 2016 Olympic Games has enlisted the support of Legion as it prepares to submit its bid to the IOC for acceptance as a candidate city. Legion’s pedestrian simulation software and expertise are helping planners assess the suitability of the proposed site of Tokyo’s Olympic stadium. Miller Crockart, Head of Business Development, Legion, says:

"Tokyo is one of the most populous cities on earth and it is vital for the bid team to demonstrate that it can deliver a smooth-running, successful event. While Legion has been involved in every Summer Olympic Games since Sydney, this is the earliest we have been involved in the bid process. By working with us at this early stage, Tokyo will be much better placed to convince the IOC that it has what it takes to host the 2016 Games."

Bidding cities have until mid-January 2008 to submit their proposals and the host city for the 2016 Olympic Games will be announced in October 2009. Gambare Tokyo!
