Safety and security considerations are increasingly important to the overall process of designing and operating venues. Every rail & metro station, football stadium and airport requires an annual safety certificate; the reasons and situations driving the need to test evacuation from commercial buildings are increasing; and every major event needs to have evacuation and contingency plans in place.
Legion software and services can help design, simulate and ‘stress-test’ safety measures for all venues in an accurate and cost-effective manner. Evacuations can be simulated with different numbers of evacuees, different available routes, various operational measures and degrees of accessibility factored in.
For example, a major transport terminal may evacuate within required limits when all exits and routes are open but what happens when you close down one route, one exit, or more? Legion can evaluate times and densities using sophisticated, industry-recognised metrics and then test and evaluate contingency plans or new escape route designs.

Legion Studio was developed and validated in partnership with the London Fire Brigade and is fully compatible with FDS input and output files, allowing you to create visually persuasive analyses and maps of the effects of fire and smoke in evacuation situations.
